Sewing training for women in safe homes

From July to October 2021, three months of basic training and one-month advanced sewing training were held for the residents of both safe homes in Kathmandu and Sindhuli.

The main goal of this training was to provide and enhance sewing skills to GBV survivors in CASA Nepal in order for them to achieve their economic empowerment in the future. In total, 21 women participated in the training and it was conducted by hiring the resource person.

The theoretical and practical sessions were also carried out during the training.

As an outcome, 13 women completed the basic sewing course and 8 also completed the advanced sewing course.
